Too long, didn't read
Oscar keeps every overtime entry you log − the date, the hours, and any note − in a small database on your own device. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere, stored on a server, or shared with anyone, including us.
1. Information we collect
Oscar collects only what you type into it: the date of an overtime shift, the number of hours worked, and an optional note describing the work. You enter this information yourself, on your own device.
Oscar does not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or location, and it does not ask you to create an account, sign in, or provide your name, email address, or any other personal identifier.
2. Where your data lives
Every entry is stored locally in a small SQLite database on your device − the same on-device storage technology used by countless apps. Oscar has no server, no cloud sync, and no backend of any kind, so there is nowhere else for your data to go.
If your device's operating system automatically backs up app data (for example, through Android's built-in backup service), that backup is managed by your device, not by Oscar.
3. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell, rent, trade, or transmit your information to anyone, for any reason. Oscar contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking software. Because your data never leaves your device, there is nothing for us − or anyone else − to share.
4. Permissions Oscar uses
Oscar requests no special device permissions. It does not ask for access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or network connectivity beyond what your device's operating system provides by default to run the app itself.
5. Keeping and deleting your data
Your entries stay on your device for as long as you keep them. You can delete any individual entry at any time from within the app.
Uninstalling Oscar removes its local database along with it, permanently deleting everything you've logged.
6. Children's privacy
Oscar is a general-purpose time-tracking tool and is not directed at children. Because Oscar does not collect, transmit, or store information anywhere outside your own device, we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above and post the revised version at this same address. Since Oscar doesn't collect any contact details from you, we have no way to notify you directly − please check back here if you'd like to review the current version.
8. Contact
